Available in hardness's up to 56 Rockwell C, ODC's cutting dies are specifically designed and manufactured to stand up to the rigors of daily use by packaging converters. With the use of PET growing in both medical and food packaging applications, forged high dies have proven to be the best cutting die solution. The reasons for this include; dimensional stability, rigidity-no flexing, extremely flat and parallel, thermally stable when heated due to their mass, custom edge profiles that can be easily re-sharpened on the production floor.
ODC is proficient in the assembly of complete cutting tools including steel plates, risers, and tool steel striker assemblies. The key feature of all kiss cutting applications is the maintenance of strict tolerance on flatness and parallelism. All ODC tooling is precision ground within .002" TIR. This feature will speed up tool changeovers and improve bottom line performance.
ODC sales engineers will be pleased to advise you and provide timely quotations on your specific solid machined, forged or high die needs.
